The anime film “The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes,” (Natsu e no Tunnel, Sayonara no Deguchi ou 夏へのトンネル、さよならの出口 )directed by Tomohisa Taguchi from CLAP studio, won the Paul Grimault Award at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The story follows Kaoru Tohno and Anzu Hanashiro as they investigate the mysterious Urashima Tunnel, where one can obtain anything at a price. Additionally, other Japanese anime like “Chainsaw Man” and “Oni: Thunder God’s Tale” competed in different categories at the festival.
