Founder’s Message

“Noches was born as a dream of an animation and story lover. It was in 2005, at the age of 16, that I thought of creating an animation studio. The idea came about because of my passion for both cartoons and storytelling. stories. Since I was a child I created stories in my games. Later, I understood that my dolls were my actors, and I was the screenwriter and director of the battle scenes and games that I created with them.

As an adult, I realized that I was not only passionate about stories and cartoons, but I had fun making them. And as in our Brazil nothing is easy, especially when it comes to culture and the arts, I immersed myself in a new world, and alone I learned to swim… I mean, not completely alone, I had a very important person who held my hand and guided me through my first steps… my manga teacher, who taught me how to express myself through drawing. As for animation, anime (animations created by Japanese people) were my real teachers. Stopping a scene, and going frame by frame, made me understand what the basics of animation were like… and that only increased my hunger for learning, more and more… I always say that my teachers were invisible teachers, because I I didn’t have anyone to take me by the hand and teach me, everything I learned was through a few books, to which I had access, some videos, and a lot of effort in not giving up, in testing, and testing, even if the computer program was in another language. Deep down, what I really wanted was to do what gave me pleasure, without being limited by anyone! Test, innovate, bring quality, always! My friend-brother, who founded Noches with me, was a great partner in these first steps.

Perhaps this is the real root of Noches, dedication, persistence and effort. I understood that despite loving the way of production a lot, and the aesthetics of anime, I wanted to create something like our identity. The mode of production of our works may be Japanese, the professionals who work in cooperation with our team may be in various parts of the world, but our products are culturally Brazilian.

I understood that Noches can spread our history, our culture and our way of life to the rest of the world! I understood that Noches’ mission is to make our people proud to be Brazilian. Create our own stories that touch and move people around the world. We are not just comedy films, or animations for children. We did manage to create addictive, visceral and dazzling products. Noches was born to show the world that Brazilians can be admired for the unique quality of their animations and stories. We want to make the public in Brazil proud that Noches is a Brazilian company.
